Local Outreach

When Jesus walked the earth he connected with people. Whether around a table for a meal, at a party, or on the streets - spending time with people was part of his mission. His compassion for ordinary people was very evident in the way he understood their needs for relationship and wholeness.

For many, life today has become defined by work, deadlines and other time pressures at the expense of fulfilling friendships and general wellbeing. As a way of connecting with people and serving them with the same spirit of compassion and kindness that Jesus demonstrated, we have a number of small groups which we call LifeGroups.

Whether it's demonstrating the love of Christ in very practical ways by doing DIY, gardening, helping someone find a taxi after a night out in Watford, running a local pub quiz, cookery or book club - we have interest groups that everyone can enjoy and participate in. In partnership with Watford Women's Centre we help women from Ethnic minorities learn English, prepare to become UK citizens, and gain skills that will help them to find employment.
