Journey with God 2012
There are loads of things we all find ourselves doing every day- brushing our teeth, combing our hair (if we are privileged enough to have some!), drinking tea, coffee or at the very least water, washing or showering - you know, the kind of normal things we have to do to get by each day.
We all understand the importance of eating daily, too. The right balance of nutrients and foodstuffs help keep our bodies working and give us energy to move and fight infection. It really is a crisis for our bodies if we stop eating and our organs begin to close down or malfunction. It is the same with filling our hearts and minds with Truth: our inner-most being craves the wisdom that the Bible alone provides, and as we step into 2012 we are presenting a fresh challenge to everyone in the WCC family to go on a Journey with God...
- A journey of reading through the major journeys in the bible, about a chapter a day - see reading plan below
- A journey of praying a blessing on someone each day
- A journey of thanking God daily for people and things in our lives
- A journey of writing down our thoughts and prayers in the specially-produced Prayer Journals (available at The Wellspring)
You don’t need to read a particular translation or buy a new Bible: Use your own... we have produced journals, a reminder in our weekly email Update, this page on our website and some other helpful tools too -
Why do all this? Because whatever happens in 2012 we want to be sure we are all moving forward in our relationships - with God and one another, and daily we never walk alone.
