Care in Action - Pastoral care teams
We recognise that 'pastoral care' has a large number of contexts. For us to grow into the people God created us to become, we need weekly support (through the relationships in small groups and the encouragement and inspiration from corporate prayer and worship gatherings) but we may also need help at specific points in our lives - big transitions and challenges or sometimes in emergencies such as hospitalisation or a bereavement or trauma.
Our Care in Action teams are here to offer support in two ways.
Firstly, we have Pastoral Partners who team up with individuals needing especial help for a season. These dedicated and trustworthy volunteers will 'walk alongside' those who are struggling/need extra support, taking time to pray and offer practical support and coordination of care as needed.
Secondly, we have a group of people who are available in an emergency as members of our Rapid Response team. These individuals are available at short notice to help practically and prayerfully in those sudden and unpredictable events where a loving, caring friend will make a positive difference in a crisis.
